Our Board Member's
Anthony Burkhart
My name is Anthony Burkhart, and I am an IT professional with over 30 years of professional experience. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Radford University.
I have a deep passion for serving others, a trait that was instilled in me by my mother at a young age. She taught me the importance of assisting those in need, and I have dedicated my life to fulfilling this principle. During my fourth-grade year, I had the privilege of tutoring younger students at Blue Ridge Elementary. This experience instilled in me a sense of purpose and compassion for my fellow classmates. It was a valuable lesson that I will always cherish.
In addition to my professional responsibilities, I have served on the Bassett Country Club Board of Directors as a Treasurer. I am also a devout Christian and hold a deep appreciation for the teachings of Jesus Christ. My favorite Bible verse is:
Philippians 4:13
13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, fishing, and golfing.
Darwin Shurig
Darwin understands that people are the greatest asset at any company and the key qualities that growth companies need to grow market share while enhancing their positive culture and team environment. He has a clinical background as a respiratory therapist of over 30 years including 12+ years of sales, business development, marketing and negotiations experience within medical device, diagnostics, distribution, ventilation, and sleep therapy, 8 years of sales leadership, 3 years of operations and extensive experience in negotiations and contract management before entering the entrepreneurial world of talent management.
He founded Shurig Solutions, Inc. in 2015 and helped build a company that has produced over $6 Million in revenue generation. Darwin has created the SSI Educational Webinar Series, the SSI Executive Conversations Podcast, Candidate Prep Best Practices, and the Top Talent Accelerant™ process. Darwin was highlighted in the Creative Classics book “The American Entrepreneur” published in 2020, was listed an MRI Top 10 Managing Partner for 2021, and SSI was ranked a top 15 office in 2022. He presents on Talent Management Strategies and moderates panel discussions for organizations light LSI Emerging Medtech, LSX Global Medtech Forum, Qualio, Greenlight Guru, the Florida Medical Device Consortium, and Brainlinx. His new book “The Modern Day Job” will be published in March 2025.
Darwin founded Blessing All God’s Children in October 2024 and has a heart for charity as SSI supports 5 independent charities and he volunteered on the board of the MRI Charitable Foundation for 3 years. His goal is to help promote other charities activities, support unique projects for charities that bring value and resources to the less advantaged, and create a charitable explosion through more frequent, and sustained giving with complete transparency.

Justin Bushko is a visionary leader with 20+ years of experience driving innovation and growth in the medical device industry. He has overseen the development of 1,000+ products, managed $50M in R&D budgets, and generated $5B in new revenue for startups and Fortune 500 companies. As the founder of Concise Engineering and MedTech Manufacturing, Justin specializes in efficiently launching groundbreaking products.
A committed Christian, Justin has spent the last decade deeply studying theology and mentoring business leaders as a Facilitator for the CBMC Trusted Advisor Forum in Tampa. He seamlessly integrates faith into business, fostering meaningful connections and advancing ministry initiatives. With a passion for service and a proven track record of leadership, Justin brings purpose and impact to the board of Blessing All God’s Children.
